Club debut at Mayo Cross Country Championships (Even ages)

To foster a love of running (and indeed jumping and throwing), preparation is crucial so that when it comes to competition, the athlete is ready and can feel they can compete without being disheartened. All-Ireland cross country medals for four MVAC athletes

Four members of our club won All-Ireland cross country medals with Mayo Community Games teams at the national finals in Athlone. It is also important to point out that the county teams were prepared very well by Moy Valley AC coach Philip Finnerty who gave selflessly of his time and expertise to the teams and comprehensive county training sessions were hosted on the beautiful parkland in Belleek - one of the finest cross country courses in Connaught!

Keelan, Cormac and Conor on Connaught development squad

Moy Valley athletes Cormac McDermott and Conor McLoughlin will join fellow clubmate Kellan Kilrehill on the Connaught endurance development squad in recognition of progress they are making in their middle distance events. Cormac is the Connaught champion over 800m on the track and will represent Mayo in the national Community Games finals over 1500m.
